The Consumer Protection Laboratory is Ohio's premier food and agricultural testing laboratory. The laboratory tests food, feeds, fertilizers, pesticides, animal exhibition samples and race track samples. It is also state's the primary emergency response laboratory for biological and chemical terrorism in food and environmental products.
The USDA-APHIS and ODA are asking Ohioans who have received these unsolicited packages not to open, plant, or throw them away. Instead, citizens should report receiving seeds here and then submit the packages to USDA.

In an effort to protect horses and other livestock in Ohio, the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) is not allowing the import of horses from counties within states with confirmed and suspected cases of Vesicular Stomatitis (VSV).
