Slowing the spread of COVID-19 in homes, businesses and schools throughout Ohio is a top priority. Food processing facilities play a critical role in the food supply chain so additional vigilance is even more important. The Ohio Department of Agriculture will be providing regular outreach to share the latest health and safety tips and details on upcoming pop-up testing locations in Ohio. COVID-19 Health and Safety Reminders

Unsure how to handle a COVID positive case in your workplace? Please consider this CDC resource for appropriate protocols and best practices to slow the spread of the disease in your critical and essential business.

COVID Pro Tip: Your local health department is a great initial call for guidance on a COVID positive case or exposure on your staff.  Please use this list to find contact information for your local health department.

The Ohio Department of Agriculture will be providing regular outreach to share the latest health and safety tips and details on upcoming pop-up testing locations in Ohio. COVID-19 Health and Safety Reminders

Please remember the Ohio Department of Health responsible protocols that apply to all businesses:

  1. Require face coverings for employees and recommend them for clients/customers at all times.
  2. Conduct daily health assessments by employers and employees (self-evaluation) to determine if “fit for duty.”
  3. Maintain good hygiene at all times – hand washing, sanitizing and social distancing.
  4. Clean and sanitize workplaces throughout workday and at the close of business or between shifts.
  5. Limit capacity to meet social distancing guidelines.
