Welcome to the Auctioneers Program
The Auctioneer Program issues licenses, gives license examinations and, when necessary, receives and processes complaints against auctioneers. The Auctioneer Program is administered by ODA's Enforcement Division. Ohio currently has more than 2,700 active licensees. There are four license types: auctioneer, auctioneer corporation LLC, partnership or association, and a one-time auctioneer license.

HB 321 - Reducing Barriers for Ohio's Auctioneer Profession
A new auctioneer law (HB 321) reduces barriers to entry for the auctioneer profession in the State of Ohio. This bill was signed by Governor DeWine on June 14, 2022 and will go into effect on September 13.
