Diagnostic Plans
Abortion, respiratory and enteric diagnostic plans have been established for bovine, porcine, ovine, caprine and equine species. The veterinary pathologist and attending veterinarian will develop a diagnostic plan on a case-by-case basis, so the final cost may vary from the fees presented below. Diagnostic Plans are requested by writing the name of the plan in the 'Tests Requested' field on the General Submission Form.
For significant bacterial pathogens, antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) is available for an extra fee. AST is used to determine minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of antibiotics. Contact the Bacteriology Section (614-728-6220) if this testing is needed.
