Fertilizer Application Resource Monitor

Click here to go to the FARM app

FARM is a web-based tool that shows both current and historical precipitation forecasts. Users can select their location (or as many locations as needed) and receive 12- and 24-hour precipitation forecasts. Forecasts are shown for all selected locations at the same time, so there is no need to switch back and forth between locations. FARM also keeps track of previous forecasts, so users can find forecasts for days, weeks, or even months ago.

Users can choose to create an account to track multiple fields, explore statewide conditions in quick-view, and sign-up to receive email alerts.

The forecasts show the amount of precipitation not to be exceeded with 50%

probability, and are generated from the National Weather Service's Weather Prediction Center. The FARM project was developed by The Ohio State University and the State Climate Office of Ohio, through a Connect and Collaborate Grant.

Users are reminded that FARM provides forecast precipitation only at this time, and other factors that may impact application decisions including snow cover and frozen soils are currently not displayed. This product is intended to serve as a guidance tool, and it is the user's responsibility to be mindful of all regulations that may apply in their area.
