Welcome to the Division of Enforcement
The Division of Enforcement is charged with conducting both administrative and criminal investigations for all regulatory divisions of ODA. Many of these investigations are generated from the Animal Health Division, which includes the Dangerous Wild Animal (DWA), Commercial Dog Breeder programs and Livestock Care Standards.

Human Trafficking
The Enforcement Division is part of the state’s effort to thwart human trafficking, with a dedicated liaison on the Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force.
Meat Inspections and Retail Food Establishments
Enforcement agents check meat and poultry products for labeling requirements, marks of federal or state inspection, and wholesomeness.
Dogfighting and Cockfighting
Dogfighting and Cockfighting are felony crimes in the State of Ohio.
Dangerous Wild Animal Program
In 2012, Ohio passed a law regulating the possession of dangerous wild animals and restricted snakes.
